David Cory, President
David Cory is the President and founder of The Emotional Intelligence Training Company (1998). David was one of the first Certified Master Trainers in the area of Emotional Intelligence with MHS Inc. (1998) and is considered to be an international expert on the integration of emotional intelligence and leadership development. As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and trainer, David has worked with leaders in progressive organizations around the globe. David received his Master of Arts Degree in Adult Education (M.A. University of British Columbia 1995) and Bachelor of Education Degree (B.Ed. University of British Columbia 1989).
David’s expertise includes:
- EQ-i 2.0/EQ360 Master Trainer to certify others to use the EQ-i 2.0/EQ 360 on a public enrolment basis and custom in-house basis;
- design and delivery of customized performance improvement solutions based on the concept of emotional intelligence;
- EQ assessment for recruiting, screening and employee development;
- facilitating team building sessions;
- conference and meeting key note presentations, and;
- executive coaching (one-to-one and group/team).

In addition to his organizational consulting and training practice, David’s company, The Emotional Intelligence Training Company Inc. hosted the first Vancouver International EQ Conference in July 2006 which brought together EQ experts, including Dr. Reuven Bar-On, from all over the world.
EITC also won the bid to certify 12 employees with the Ministry of Education, conduct a learning needs assessment, design, and train 24 trainers to deliver a 20 day emotional intelligence skills development course for the nation of Botswana in 2014.
David is a frequent guest speaker at HR associations and other business organizations and ICF coaching and I4PL training chapters across the country. Finally, David is often requested as a keynote speaker at conferences (Harvard Medical School Conference on Emotional Intelligence, World & Asia HR Congresses in Singapore, Brunei, Bahrain, and Kuala Lumpur and many more) on the topic of emotional intelligence.
Music has always been a big part of David’s life. Ever since he started singing, he’s been using his musical talent to touch people’s lives. He’s recorded a national award winning and an international award nominated album of original music and has incorporated music into corporate training and speaking to rave reviews.
