Rebecca Cory, MA, CPCC, ACC

Rebecca Cory: a white woman in her thirties wears a black cardigan over a mint blouse and wears her pink and orang glasses.

Rebecca Cory is an EQ coach. Rebecca has an MA in Adult Education from the University of Victoria. In addition to her work as an EQ coach with EITC, she is the Program Coordinator for University 101, a UVic initiative to make knowledge more accessible. She has worked in community engagement, facilitation, and curriculum development for over fifteen years.

Rebecca has a passion for developing workshops and leading discussion. Her years as a workshop facilitator with the UVic Equity and Human Rights Office, as an outdoor school educator, and youth outreach worker, shaped her values and practices. Through these experiences, she has developed methods and practices for inclusivity, growth mindset development, understanding power and challenging inequality. For Rebecca, this work happens by being attentive to relationships and communication.

Her recent research and teaching have taken Rebecca deeper into Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication as well as Brené Brown’s work around shame resilience and vulnerability.

Rebecca Cory is also a partner in Pink Sheep Media, a small design and communications agency.

Rebecca is trained as a CTI Co-Active Coach. She appreciates the power of this model of coaching, and its emphasis on values and perspectives.

She misses the brisk days on the ski hill as a ski instructor. But not the cold toes.
