Emotional intelligence and leader performance: insight
Thank you everyone who joined us on Friday morning last week for David Cory’s webinar on leadership performance and emotional intelligence. The recording from this webinar is below. And you can find the show notes and recordings from our previous webinars on our blog.
And you can also check out our schedule for forthcoming webinars.
In this webinar, David Cory shines light on the concepts of inspiration, the importance of sharing expertise, employee engagement and motivation in the workplace. He does this by examining the role of emotional intelligence, and Insight, in leadership.
Insight is the ability to provide inspiration and purpose. It is critically important that effective leaders share their knowledge and expertise to inspire passion in others.
Insight is one of four dimensions in the MHS Model of Transformational Leadership. The six emotional intelligence skills, or EQ competencies, that make up Insight are:
- Self-Actualization
- Optimism
- Self-Regard
- Social Responsibility
- Interpersonal Relationships
- Emotional Expression
